Puppy Visits

Adding a new member of the family can be an extremely exciting time. However, with the pace of modern day life, there are times when it can become more difficult to ensure all of your puppy’s needs are being met. At A Dog’s Best Friend, we understand these difficulties and can provide a service which ensures you do not need to worry. We are available for puppy visits, where your pup can be cared for in your absence. Visits usually include feeding, toileting and most importantly……playtime.

Following the completion of their vaccination programme we can start to vary their visits by introducing them to the wonders of the local world. One of the most important parts of this is being able to socialise with other dogs. It is not possible to place enough emphasis on the importance of socialisation at the earliest opportunity.

At A Dog’s Best Friend we do not walk puppies for any longer than thirty minutes until they are one year old. Puppies of all shapes and sizes are full of energy, but too much exercise at a young age can put strain on their growing bodies.  Once your pup has reached the grand old age of one, we ask that they are moved onto a sixty minute walk. We have had great success with our puppy service and all our puppies have ‘graduated’ on to one hour group walks where they are happy, social and contended dogs.

We are totally committed to working with you and your pup to develop a routine which suits you and your family as well as building relationships which will hopefully last for many years to come.
